Jessica
was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut the daughter of Cuban Immigrants,
but has lived in Chattanooga since 2004. Her grandfather was a
Pakistani Immigrant who moved to Cuba in the 40s. Heavily influenced
by her cosmopolitan background and growing up with the awkward
feeling of a skewed dual citizenship, all of her stories are centered
on the experiences of the first generation American.
Jessica received an honorable mention in The Sequoya Review,
published by her alma mater, The University of Tennessee at
Chattanooga. She is currently working as a Sales Coordinator
for Bluewater Grille, freelance writing, and working on a first
novel.
