Improving your Craft
This meeting is free and open to the public
Join us for
a workshop session for writers of all genres. Joyce Walters will discuss Stephen
King’s book On Writing. Ray Zimmerman will lead two activities for writers
wanting to structure their journaling experience and develop a journal as a
source of raw material useful for refinement into nonfiction, fiction, and poetic
works.
Colleen
S. Harris was born on Long Island, and moved to Kentucky at 18.
She graduated from Centre College in 2001 with B.A.s in Economics
and International Relations, and from the University of Kentucky
with an M.S. in Library and Information Science in 2006. Colleen
works as an assistant professor and reference librarian at the
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and is currently working
on her M.F.A. in creative writing (poetry) at Spalding University.
Her poetry appears in Survivor's Review, Innisfree, Poetry Midwest,
and kaleidowhirl, among others. She is currently working on a
full-length collection and a few smaller chapbook projects.
