Jeana Fleitz

Jeana Fleitz was born and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Lousiville (U.L.) School of Medicine Radiologic Technology Program and also earned a B.S. and master’s degree in allied health education from U.L.

During her more than 40-year career in the radiological sciences, Jeana has worked as a staff technologist and teacher at the community college level. Her career includes six years with the KY State Radiation Control Program, and more than twenty-five years with the State Department of Technical Education, as the statewide post-secondary allied health curriculum director.

Jeana is the co-author of a textbook titled Limited Radiography (1st and 2nd edition), published by Delmar Publishing. A third edition of the book is expected to be released in Summer 2008. Jeana also co-authored the Ky Radiation Control Program Limited Radiography Homestudy Program and served on the initial writing team assigned to draft the KY X-Ray Certification Regulations.

Jeana is the president of her company “X-Ray Lady Productions.” Other than managing daily operation of a business, Jeana writes and develops all of the technical x-ray related continuing education courses that the company markets to over 400,000 radiologic technologists in the U.S. and several foreign countries.

Jeana is also a professional speaker and hosts workshops at resort locations several times a year.

She is married to a native of Chattanooga and divides her time between her home in Louisville and Chattanooga.

With having met her goals of owning and managing her own business, Jeana hopes to direct her energy toward her dream of writing fiction.
