
Jeana
Fleitz was born and grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated
from the University of Lousiville (U.L.) School of Medicine Radiologic
Technology Program and also earned a B.S. and master’s degree
in allied health education from U.L.
During her more than 40-year career in the radiological sciences,
Jeana has worked as a staff technologist and teacher at the
community college level. Her career includes six years with
the KY State Radiation Control Program, and more than twenty-five
years with the State Department of Technical Education, as the
statewide post-secondary allied health curriculum director.
Jeana is the co-author of a textbook titled Limited Radiography
(1st and 2nd edition), published by Delmar Publishing.
A third edition of the book is expected to be released in Summer
2008. Jeana also co-authored the Ky Radiation Control Program
Limited Radiography Homestudy Program and served on the initial
writing team assigned to draft the KY X-Ray Certification Regulations.
Jeana is the president of her company “X-Ray
Lady Productions.” Other than managing daily operation
of a business, Jeana writes and develops all of the technical
x-ray related continuing education courses that the company
markets to over 400,000 radiologic technologists in the U.S.
and several foreign countries.
Jeana is also a professional speaker and hosts workshops at
resort locations several times a year.
She is married to a native of Chattanooga and divides her time
between her home in Louisville and Chattanooga.
With having met her goals of owning and managing her own business,
Jeana hopes to direct her energy toward her dream of writing
fiction.
