Improving your Craft
This meeting is free and open to the public
Join us for
a workshop session for writers of all genres. Joyce Walters will discuss Stephen
King’s book On Writing. Ray Zimmerman will lead two activities for writers
wanting to structure their journaling experience and develop a journal as a
source of raw material useful for refinement into nonfiction, fiction, and poetic
works.
Nansy Grill works as an accountant during the day and
mutates into a freelance writer at night and on weekends. Working
as a proofreader at the Cleveland Daily Banner spawned her writing
career and, two years later, she became Special Features Writer.
Other writing assignments include numerous articles for church
publications, employee interviews for company newsletters, and
several user manuals for accounting. Nansy enjoys researching
articles as much as she enjoys writing them. She spent endless
hours compiling two family histories.
Nansy is resuscitating her writing career, which lapsed for a
few years while she pursued a college degree. Her works in progress
include a creative fiction novel based on a true story and an
animated screenplay. She is pursuing publication of a children’s
book. Nansy exercised her artistic brain by directing several
Christmas plays and other programs honoring seniors and mothers.
She and her husband, Lynn, have traveled overseas and toured many
states within the continental U.S. Their most recent residence
is near Chattanooga, TN. Nansy’s friends keep up with
her busy life at her LiveJournal
page and her MySpage
page. Her professional Web site is under construction
and will open soon.
