Improving your Craft
This meeting is free and open to the public
Join us for
a workshop session for writers of all genres. Joyce Walters will discuss Stephen
King’s book On Writing. Ray Zimmerman will lead two activities for writers
wanting to structure their journaling experience and develop a journal as a
source of raw material useful for refinement into nonfiction, fiction, and poetic
works.
In the near future (the actual timeframe is at this point uncertain),
CWG hopes to provide collaborative blogs, on this Web site,
to each of the independent writing groups. Group members will
have the ability to post content to their group's blog, and
will have the option of receiving all blog content in their
email inboxes (much like the current email service associated
with the CWG News & Announcements
Blog) or via RSS feed(s). The group blogs will be a great
way for group members to share content and to stay in touch
between meetings.
In addition to the group blogs, many other Web-based services
for the CWG writing groups have been discussed. Look for a few
surprises in the coming months.
This
Web site is a free service provided by the Chattanooga Writers Guild to encourage
and motivate the craft of writing in all genres. Chattanooga Writers Guild is
a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
