Improving your Craft
This meeting is free and open to the public
Join us for
a workshop session for writers of all genres. Joyce Walters will discuss Stephen
King’s book On Writing. Ray Zimmerman will lead two activities for writers
wanting to structure their journaling experience and develop a journal as a
source of raw material useful for refinement into nonfiction, fiction, and poetic
works.
Jess
was born in Lima, Pennsylvania, but has lived in Chattanooga since
she was two. She is currently freelance writing and hostessing
at St. John's Restaurant. She is working on her first poetry
chapbook, A Week of Days, and her first fiction chapbook,
still untitled.
Jess has published several poems and short stories in The
Broad River Review, published by her alma mater, Gardner-Webb
University. She has also recieved first prize in the 2006
Erma Drum Poetry Festival and Editor's Choice award in the 2007
edition of The Broad River Review.
