Improving your Craft
This meeting is free and open to the public
Join us for
a workshop session for writers of all genres. Joyce Walters will discuss Stephen
King’s book On Writing. Ray Zimmerman will lead two activities for writers
wanting to structure their journaling experience and develop a journal as a
source of raw material useful for refinement into nonfiction, fiction, and poetic
works.
June
Wood doesn't know if she will ever make a living writing, but
it is a wonderful opportunity for her to tell people about the
things that interest her and are a blessing to her. June
has attended several writer's conferences including one last
fall in Clarksville, TN. So far, she has several poems, short
stories and a short novel that she is completing. She is
in contact with two publishing companies at this time, trying
to make a decision about publishing the Christian fiction novella.
She attends the monthly meeting at the library and is interested
in hosting a monthly group of 4 or 5 people who are writing novels.
Because the group would be limited to a small number of participants,
June thinks that with a small group, time could be spent on just
two authors per month for about an hour each and a lot of work
could get done in that time period. June is looking
at the Tiftonia area on Cummings highway for the meeting place.
