George
graduated from Georgia Tech in 1948 and spent his entire career
in the paper industry. He retired in 1987. He purchased his first
computer in 2001 and began writing short stories. A member of
the Chattanooga Writers’ Guild since 2005, he is a frequent
contributor of stories. To date he has written over sixty, several
of which have been published. He writes because it gives him an
opportunity to keep an aging mind in working order, and enjoys
having others read his work.
“What else would I do with my free time if I didn’t
write, work crossword puzzles, bake and cook, garden, play golf
and otherwise make a nuisance of myself around the house? (In
retirement, all my time is free time.)”
