Improving your Craft
This meeting is free and open to the public
Join us for
a workshop session for writers of all genres. Joyce Walters will discuss Stephen
King’s book On Writing. Ray Zimmerman will lead two activities for writers
wanting to structure their journaling experience and develop a journal as a
source of raw material useful for refinement into nonfiction, fiction, and poetic
works.
Lettie
Kirkpatrick Burress lives in Cleveland, Tn. Publishing credits
include:
* Several hundred articles
in over 40 publications * Contributor to seven book compilations
* Author of Lessons, Laughter, and Tough Love: The Inez Clemmer
Legacy, a book commissioned by the Bradley County School System.
* Her writing has won awards at the Lifeway
Christian Writers Workshop and Southern Christian Writers
Conference
Lettie also leads workshops, teaching beginning writers how
to publish their work. She has led these workshops in Cleveland,
Chattanooga, Lifeway Christian Resources in Nashville, and at
the Southern Christian Writers Conference in Alabama. She will
also be presenting in June, 2008 at the Kentucky Chrisitan Writers
Conference.
Hiking the trails in the East Tennessee and North Georgia mountains
with her husband Phil is Lettie's favorite pasttime. She is
also "Mom" and "Mimi" to five sons, two
daughters-in-law, and four "grand"children.
