Peter
is the author of two historical fiction novels: Philip &
Olympias: A Novel of Ancient Macedon and Alexander the
King: The Sequel to Philip and Olympias. Both books were
self-published in 2001 and 2004 through Author House publishers
in Bloomington, Indiana (excerpts

Peter is currently writing the final draft of a new apocalyptic
book titled Emergia: A Chronicle of the Future.
He envisions its publication in 2009.
Dr. Messmore was a professor of literacy education at Florida
Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida for 33.5 years. He
retired in 2004. He lives in Chattanooga, Tennessee with his
wife, Rosemary. Ocean cruising is a favorite pass time of Peter.
In December, 2008 he toured the Mediterranean giving seminars
on his two historical fiction novels.
