Improving your Craft
This meeting is free and open to the public
Join us for
a workshop session for writers of all genres. Joyce Walters will discuss Stephen
King’s book On Writing. Ray Zimmerman will lead two activities for writers
wanting to structure their journaling experience and develop a journal as a
source of raw material useful for refinement into nonfiction, fiction, and poetic
works.
Patricia
Paris is an author and columnist from Chattanooga. Utilizing
a diverse background that includes management, marketing,
light accounting, and writing, she is self-employed
and provides services for several small companies, along
with a bit of free lance writing. She
shares her love of writing in her tongue-in-cheek,
'everyday life', very southern, newspaper column,
'Patricia's Porch Talk', published in various newspapers
across the country. An avid environmentalist, she has
shared her passion and concerns in a second column, titled
'Eco-Bits...saving the world, one bit at a time'. Her
third novel, All's Quiet on the Tennessee River, was
released in November 2004 by 1st World Library as a sequel to
The Spiritual Side of Sarah. Patricia Paris has
been a member of the CWG since 2005 and currently serves as
Treasurer.
