Ashley Wright

Picture
Ashley Gillentine Wright is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, where she received a B.A. in English and Writing. She is currently the digital media coordinator for the Southern Standard Newspaper in McMinnville where she oversees social media, website, multimedia production, digital advertising and general digital presence. When she’s not working her “day job” she freelances as a public relations consultant for businesses and individuals and works part time as the administrative assistant for Habitat for Humanity of Warren County. Ashley is an avid volunteer, giving her time and talents to several non-profit causes, particularly those involving the National Exchange Club. In addition to her local role as Immediate Past President for the McMinnville Noon Exchange Club, she is the Tennessee District President-Elect for the Exchange and serves on the National Exchange Club Public Relations Committee.

The session will focus heavily on promoting your book and your brand via social media and other forms of digital media, but will also touch on traditional media promotion methods. Attendees will discuss how to effectively use several social media outlets, how to advertise using geo-targeted ads online, how to work with local and regional media outlets to get the word out about your book and how to put together an effective press packet.
