Our dear friend and fellow writer, Walt Barger, passed away February 1, 2004. Although we miss Walt and will always miss his writer's voice, the acceptance and peace that he had at the very end of his life was inspiring and is an ongoing comfort to us all. We are especially grateful that Walt was able to attend our January meeting where we honored him and his second book of poems, Chasing Echoes. Walt will always be dear to us.
